Production Manager - East Coast

ABOUT THE TEAM AND ROLE

The Lukens Company (TLC) is an award-winning full-service direct response agency that is seeking a Production Manager to join our nonprofit practice in our Arlington, VA office. The nonprofit practice partners with a variety of museums, animal welfare organizations, social welfare organizations, aquariums, zoos, faith-based missions, and other clients staffed by awesome people looking to make a difference in the world. The Production Manager will focus on print production for nonprofit direct mail marketing.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Assisting members of the account team in managing the print and production of direct mail projects
  • Opening jobs in our production management system and maintaining status
  • Reviewing and coordinating production schedules with Account Managers to meet deadlines
  • Continually monitoring the status of all works in progress to ensure delivery is on time and within the estimated budget
  • Managing and coordinating all work (data, artwork, copy, print proofs, postage, etc.) between outside vendors and the account teams
  • Reviewing and routing set ups (laser sign offs) and print proofs for direct mail projects
  • Ensuring quality and accuracy of production sign offs through the TLC proofing system
  • Completing the billing process by facilitating and finalizing costs and invoices for each project
  • Attending the campaign kickoff meeting with the account teams

WHAT WE'D LIKE TO SEE

  • 3 – 5 years of experience at an agency and with direct mail
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous detail-orientation
  • Self-starter with demonstrated capability to mange multiple projects and think on your feet 
  • Comfortable working with data files 
  • Adept at understanding data instructions and ensuring the accuracy of data 
  • Results-oriented “team first” attitude
  • Desire to work for a values-driven company that seeks to improve the world for the better
