Marketing Associate - East Coast


The Lukens Company (TLC) is an award-winning full-service direct response agency that is seeking a Marketing Associate to join our marketing team in our Arlington, VA office. The Marketing Associate will play a key role in helping to position TLC as a thought leader and increasing the brand’s overall awareness. This position will involve strategically creating, managing, and analyzing multi-channel marketing campaigns to increase lead generations and sales.


  • Managing website development and maintenance
    • Using an online content management system, create, audit, develop, and optimize website content for search engine optimization
    • Partnering with vendors to maintain and update website functionality 
    • Performing ongoing research for keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization and implementing content, linking, and website architecture recommendations for organic SEO and PPC success
    • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing web traffic and optimizing pages accordingly
  • Generating email marketing material 
    • Using the company marketing platform, create and distribute email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, blogs, case studies, breaking news updates, and event invites
    • Developing and managing contact database lists
    • Analyzing delivery statistics for CTRs, visits, and usage amounts
  • Managing company digital media platforms
    • Developing and executing social media strategy, KPIs, and content based on sales objectives and overall marketing strategy
    • Updating, listening, responding, and carrying out best practices for digital media platforms (currently Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Glassdoor)
    • Driving and managing paid media strategy and budget to increase conversions and generate awareness with our target audiences
    • Researching and analyzing new digital and social media trends to monitor the online competitive landscape
    • Training sales employees on marketing techniques to build their online presence
  • Maintaining company blog and case studies 
    • Creating and managing blog and case studies calendar, as well as working with contributors on creating content to promote thought leadership and develop inbound leads
    • Updating blog and case studies postings and analyzing interactions
  • Providing marketing support as needed to the marketing team
    • Assisting in the production of marketing collateral, RFPs, and presentations
    • Managing company inboxes and respond accordingly to vendor solicitations and emails
    • Contributing to other marketing projects as needed (writing, events, etc.)


  • 1-2 years of experience in executing social media campaigns and strategies across multiple platforms
  • Track record of increasing social media followers
  • Experience creating compelling content to expand social media footprint, including using tools such as Canva and Animoto
  • In-depth understanding of website analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of SEO, PPC, HTML, and website management systems
  • Proven email marketing and CRM platform experience (i.e. HubSpot)
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe and MS Office software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Ability to learn new technology systems quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous detail-orientation
  • Results-oriented “team first” attitude
  • Reliable self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and think on your feet
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline driven environment with quick turnarounds
  • Ability to problem solve and work collaboratively with departments across the company

  • Coding experience is a plus!
