Vice President of Digital – East Coast

Job Description

The Lukens Company (TLC) is seeking a Vice President of Digital to lead, manage, and guide the Digital team in a manner that aligns with the mission and core values of the company and stated goals of senior leadership.

This position will work out of corporate headquarters in Arlington, VA and report to the Vice President of Agency Services.

At The Lukens Company, we innovatively use digital, data, and technology to support the fundraising and marketing efforts of non-profits, cultural attractions, political and advocacy organizations. We are an award-winning, full-service direct response agency that has been providing marketing and fundraising services to political and nonprofit clients for over 30 years.


  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable our Digital team in a manner that aligns with the mission and core values of the company and stated goals of senior leadership.
  • Craft efficient and effective team processes that align with broader company processes/protocols and goals. Review and improve team processes as appropriate. Ensure that the Digital team delivers high-quality service with speed, while also maintaining consciousness of costs.
  • Lead the company’s broader marketing and sales efforts in the digital space by managing a sales team and providing additional sales and marketing support.
  • Build a strong team. Support the professional growth of direct reports through coaching and development. Encourage and promote coaching and development of indirect reports.
  • Collaborate with leaders of other departments to improve client service and accomplish business objectives.

Job Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide digital growth through sales and marketing planning and support. Sales and marketing experience, relevant degree, and/or relevant training.
  • Demonstrated experience of rising through the digital fundraising and marketing industry that includes hands-on experience with email fundraising and digital advertising, management experience, and experience working with non-profits, cultural attractions and/or political and issue advocacy organizations.
  • Reputation and/or demonstrated experience as a strong team builder. 3 to 5 years of experience leading a team.
  • Thought leader and/or active participant in relevant industry organization(s). Respected by peers.
  • Knowledge, experience, and exemplification of Conscious Business principles.
  • Knowledge, experience, and exemplification of with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) for small businesses.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited College or other formal training is preferred.
