Finance Coordinator

Job Description

The Lukens Company (TLC) is seeking a versatile individual for a position at our corporate headquarters in Arlington, VA. The Finance Coordinator will assist with every day financial activities and subsequently provide guidance to the Director of Finance on future financial plans.

TLC is an award-winning, full-service direct response agency that has been providing marketing and fundraising services to political and nonprofit clients for over 30 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute day-to-day accounting functions at the direction of supervisor. Functions include, but not limited to, processing payroll, cash receipts and disbursements, general journal entries, financial and managerial accounting report generation, and other accounting functions assigned by supervisor
  • Assist with other company administrative and office management tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the following accounting and admin applications (or similar apps), including Peachtree (Sage), Advantage, ADP
  • Ability and desire to learn and understand systems
  • Process-oriented
  • Hands-on problem-solver
  • 2-3 years related experience in financial statement preparation, accounting systems, budgeting and treasury functions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced excel skills
  • CPA a plus
