Account Coordinator – East Coast

Job Description

The Lukens Company (TLC) is seeking an Account Coordinator to join our Arlington, VA office.

This person will report directly to the Account Director of the Nonprofit department.

TLC is an award-winning, full-service direct response agency that has been providing marketing and fundraising services to political and nonprofit clients for over 30 years.


  • Responsible for understanding the client’s organization and structure, knowing the client’s product/services and staying aware of client news and changes.
  • Establishes productive and professional relationships with personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Responsible for consulting with clients about campaign requirements and objectives and works with the Account Director to implement strategy and products in order to achieve program goals.
  • Keeps clients up-to-date on campaign progress and results.
  • Interact with various internal departments to execute campaigns, assuring that client’s expectations are met.
  • Manage campaign schedules and project deadlines to ensure on time campaign execution.
  • Delivers ideas and final products to clients for review.
  • Responsible of reviewing and understanding weekly results and make recommendations based on analysis.
  • Communicates, monitors and assures proper billing procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in Marketing/Advertising, Fundraising or Project Management
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations preferred
  • Basic copywriting/editing knowledge
  • Strong customer services skills with the ability to establish and maintain goodwill with clients
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task; flexible
  • Highly self-motivated; able to work independently
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Great attention to detail
  • Conflict resolution skills and problem solver
  • Strong communication skills in both written and oral with the ability to effectively present information, respond and follow-up on questions and inquiries from clients and/or other managers
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and audit
  • Proficient in computer software and office equipment
