Founded in 1986, The Lukens Company (TLC) is an award-winning, multi-channel direct response marketing agency serving the needs of cultural organizations, faith-based missions, and public policy advocacy groups, in addition to Republican political candidates, committees and causes. TLC has offices in Arlington, VA; Glendale, CA; and Charleston, SC.

Walter Lukens

President & Founder

Walter Lukens – President & Founder

Walter founded The Lukens Company in 1986, primarily as a political direct response fundraising firm. The company has grown and expanded significantly in the years since, due in large part to his passion for the visual and performing arts and cause-related organizations. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Walter grew up attending performances at the Philadelphia Orchestra and Metropolitan Opera with his mother. He continues to be an avid supporter of the arts, and is deeply involved in his community, both in Washington, D.C. and at home in Alexandria, Virginia. Walter serves on the Board of Directors of Living Classrooms of the National Capital Area and The Campagna Center, organizations that focus their efforts on improving the lives of children. He is a past board member of The Alexandria Country Day School and of the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League.

In addition to leading The Lukens Company, Walter is the founder of several other businesses including Pinnacle List Company, emotive – a metrics driven on-line marketing company and of Predictive Data and Analytics. He has been featured in numerous direct response publications, including DM News and Direct Marketing Magazine, as well as The New York Times, The New York Times Sunday Magazine and The Washington Post. He is a frequent speaker at direct marketing associations across the country, and at conferences of both the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and DMA of Washington, D.C. He has taught direct response marketing courses at George Washington University and New York University.

Prior to starting TLC, Walter served as a senior advisor to Senator Bob Dole’s 1988 presidential campaign and was active in the Senator’s subsequent national efforts. Walter lives in Alexandria, Virginia.

Bruce Stuck – Chief Operating Officer

Bruce oversees The Lukens Company’s Nonprofit Division on the east coast and plays a critical role in helping shape the company’s direction. He manages the account teams and production department and is instrumental in the development and implementation of each client’s strategic fundraising plan, including direct mail, creative, telemarketing, membership development, multi-channel marketing, analysis, branding, and digital presence.

With nearly 20 years of nonprofit and direct response agency experience, Bruce brings a broad perspective and a service-based approach to fundraising. Before joining TLC in 2012, he helped raise funds across a variety of organizations, ranging from veteran and environmental groups to advocacy, relief and health organizations. Several of his key accounts were Habitat for Humanity, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, Help Hospitalized Veterans, The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, and Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Bruce holds degrees in both Operations Management and History from Radford University. He spent his early years living abroad in Germany and Japan. He now lives in Springfield, Virginia with his wife and three young children. Bruce is deeply involved in his kids’ activities, coaching Little League Baseball and leading Cub Scout packs. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, running and hiking.

Senior Vice President

Seth Colton – Senior Vice President

Seth leads fundraising and voter contact efforts for The Lukens Company’s political clients. Under his direction, TLC has raised over $185 million for high-profile campaigns and organizations during the 2016 cycle and consistently executes multichannel voter contact strategy that resulted in decisive victories at the ballot box.

In 2017, Seth was named one of the “40 Under 40” Political Operatives in the nation by the American Association of Political Consultants. Additionally, he won a  2016 Campaign All-Star Goldie Award as well as multiple Pollie, Reed and Maxi Awards, and is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants. His work has been extensively featured by Politico, MSNBC, CNN, and The Hill, and he regularly presents at AAPC conferences, The Leadership Institute and RNC Campaign Schools on a variety of topics.

His clients have included Ted Cruz for President, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Republican National Committee, National Republican Senatorial Committee, American Leprosy Missions, and over 100 candidates for Congress, Governor, and state legislature additionally.

Prior to joining The Lukens Company in 2007, Seth served as a legislative aide in the United States Senate while simultaneously consulting on a number of political campaigns.

For Seth, politics has always been a way of life. He recently orchestrated a winning campaign for president of his Home Owner’s Association – one of the most thankless jobs in America.

Seth loves a good challenge – he is a proud Eagle Scout and on a bet, became an Emergency Medical Technician.

In his spare time, Seth enjoys reading, traveling, and any outdoor activity with his wife, Christina and his son Porter.

Vice President of Political Services

Olivia Kelley Delgado – Vice President of Political Services

Olivia has more than a decade of major donor fundraising, direct response marketing and event planning experience. At TLC, Olivia leads the political account team in the development and implementation of each client’s multi-channel programs. For her efforts in designing and executing multiple creative direct response campaigns, Olivia has received numerous Pollie & Maxie Awards.

Prior to joining TLC in early 2008, Olivia spent a year in Iowa for the 2008 Presidential Caucuses. And during the 2006 cycle, she worked for the National Republican Congressional Committee as a Political Field Finance Director, where she was sent to over 20 targeted districts to help create finance budgets, cultivate and expand donor bases and organize and manage Presidential, Vice Presidential, First Lady and other top-tier surrogate events. Before that, she served as the State Finance Director for the Nebraska and West Virginia Republican Parties.

A graduate of West Virginia University & proud Mountaineer alum, Olivia was born and raised in ‘Almost Heaven’ and currently lives in Falls Church City, VA with her husband, Tony and two dogs, Murphy & Hemingway. On most weekends, she can be found volunteering with her church, taking her puppies to the dog park or visiting her family in the hills of West Virginia. She also enjoys reading, going to sporting events and music concerts, traveling and happy hours with friends at Cantina Marina.

Director of Data and Analytics

Erik Pfalzer – Director of Data and Analytics

Erik has more than eleven years of data processing experience. Prior to joining The Lukens Company, he was the lead data processor and manager of a mail shop in upstate New York. This experience has allowed Erik to have a unique end-to-end perspective on mail file creation, USPS process flow, and results analysis. Today Erik specializes in file analysis for mail file creation and advanced results analytics. He supervises merge/purge processing for all types of multi-channel marketing projects including acquisition, lapsed, and renewals.

Matt Seney hires

Director of Digital Services

Matt Seney – Director of Digital Services

Since joining TLC in 2010, Matt has helped architect and construct the Digital Services division from the ground up. Under his guidance, TLC has built a world-class, full-service digital operation by recruiting a talented team of digital marketers, instituting industry-leading technology, and continuously testing and optimizing the latest trends, tactics, and best practices. He’s personally managed hundreds of digital campaigns, obtained numerous industry certifications from Google, IBM, and Microsoft, won several awards, and has presented several times on the topic of digital advertising at industry conferences.

His experience in digital marketing, advertising, and communications began in 2005 when he managed the website and email outreach for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. He also held a similar position at the National Commission on Children and Disasters. In addition to his work in the digital space, Matt has worked on several national, state, and local political campaigns since 2004.

Matt is a graduate of The Ohio State University. In his free time he coaches hockey for a local high school. He currently resides in Alexandria, VA with his wife and three kids.
